Effective 5pm Saturday, March 21, 2020, the Arlington Heights Park District is temporarily suspending all operations and closing all facilities, and playgrounds, until April 7, 2020, with the exception of essential services (baseline maintenance of parks and facilities) in support of Governor Pritzker’s efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus. It is our hope that this drastic measure will help flatten the curve of the COVID-19 spreading throughout our community.
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully and the Park District is committed to following the state’s updated policy on social gatherings to help slow the spread of the virus.
In a time like this, it is important to get out and get fresh air. Our parks will remain open to take walks per the stay-at-home order issued Friday, March 20, 2020. If you choose to enjoy our parks, the Park District reminds you to follow CDC guidelines which call for social distancing.
